Considering one of my mates has managed to get laid with the opening line of "do you know 90% of women masturbate" then yeah, I think its possible.
Then again the girl he got with did have a skirt so short it looked like an extension to a belt.

re: "mean flirting" - i do this all the time when i flirt with people because that person's reaction will tell you whether or not they have a sense of humour and are able to make fun of themselves once in a while. both of those things are pretty important to me in any kind of relationship, including just friendships.
