Is it possible for Marten to do anything without it being awkward? One thing I couldn't figure out is why Kiaya freaked out in panel 5. Mumbling something stupid and incoherent is standard when you get shot down, but she seemed absolutely shocked that he might be seeing someone already. And I do hope he doesn't relate this encounter to Dora verbatim. She would probably be none too pleased to find out they are "kind of" seeing each other.
I assume Tai is wearing contacts, although maybe her glasses fell off during a makeout session in the stacks.

Yea Whatshername is acting majorly strange. All upfront when asking His Awkwardness of Discomfort out for a date but fleeing in shame and embarrassment when finding out he's taken. Oh well, some people might have been amused. >.>
Please do not mention Steve here. I don't want to see him hanging from the ceiling in a future comic.

Yes, Tai is not wearing glasses. She also looks like her own person though! Remember Jeph was talking about trying to work on the female characters not looking like Faye clones anymore? I say he's done it cus Tai looks pretty awesome.

Yeah, I'd say giving the characters their own look has come along a lot in the past few months, especially the female characters. I always look forward to how the comic is going to look in the future :-)
