Awesome guys, I checked out some Electric Wizard already. Just what I was looking for, I was surprised to find out how recent they're music is, after listening to it.

other awesome doom:
Skepticism (my fav funeral doom of recent)
Supercontinent (very Isis-y)
Swallow the Sun (doom with some melodic death influences)

Well, there's always Sunn O))). Doesn't get much heavier/slower/louder/apocalyptic than Sunn O))). The album Black One is actually pretty terrifying when listened to at a high enough volume.
