I think you mean "Marten."

"Martin" isn't a character in QC that I know of.

{/spelling nazi}

Sorry, couldn't resist.

Okay, I did misspell 'Marten' as 'Martin', but only because it was the last name of a girl I used to date.
Also, this is a prime example of Godwin's law in action.

Mr. Skawronska:
Two things:

1) Godwin's law tends to refer to people referring to OTHERS as Nazis, seriously.
2) I referred to MYSELF, thus MOCKING Godwin's Law.

However, it is reasonably true, since I used the word Nazi.

Godwin's says that as a Usenet discussion continues, the probability of a comparison to Hitler or the Nazis increases to 1. So, disregarding your casual abuse of the populous ad dictionarium fallacy, your second point eats itself.

No, no, no!  Don't disregard it!  I enjoy a good fallacy as much as the next jerk.

But you're right, even in referencing myself, I did indeed follow Godwin's law.

My second point has become Oroborous.

Woohoo!

Topher, that's positively creepy. And yet, I can see it, on that level and also as a connection to her heroine.

Not possible. As Talky Place forumites, we can never dissect Jeph's work into fine enough little bits. Each day we must grind more finely.
