Blog Thread II: Beyond Blogosphere.

Lord of the Rings: The fellowship of the ring.

The movie is definitely quicker than the book. It is so hard to read a book about walking. Just hobbits walking places.

Josefbugman:
or tom "stop the plot, we need rhymes" bombadil, jesus that was an irritating part of a good story. I actually prefered the radio play and the films over the books, mainly because of all the songs and poems and dullness, but also because tolkien wrote Gimli and Legolas as scenery that killed orcs.

Anywaaaaay, back on topic, this is the blog thread after all. Have just woken up, had breakfast and am now sat all snuggly warm in bed before having to go out and face the cold.

i grew up reading too but i don't think films are inherently inferior to books. there are some very good films and likewise, some very terrible books. i'd much prefer for someone to be really into good films than really into those twilight books or harry potter or whatever. then again it isn't really my business what people do for fun and i'm sure people who read those twilight books can still grow up to be awesome people despite the fact that those books seem sort of stupid to me so whatever i guess?

supersheep:
FACT: Snowball fights are awesome. Snowball fights when half of college wanders outside to attack one another? Double awesome.

Hey, don't worry! You share a birthday with me!

Guys today I am an adult! To celebrate this I helped out in a PGCE (post-graduate certificate in education, trainee teachers bascially) lesson, teaching them research skills. It was awesome! I have had an awesome day and I feel like celebrating by eating a big mountain of mashed potato, spinach and poached eggs which my mum cooked specially. :-D
