Today when I got home from work I took a nap.  I sleep on my tummy and when I woke up my kitty was asleep on my legs using my butt as a pillow.

I love having my meow meow home.

Dear Blog Thread,

Tomorrow I've got my first English exam. Instead of preparing (which is pretty pointless to do beside rereading King Lear and about 15 different short stories that I've already got memorized) I am spending my night watching Doctor Who. Always a terrific plan. Great news today however, I've been tossing around a bunch of ideas for future careers after high school, (don't worry, rock star is on that list) and one always pops up, writer of some sort. This is news because I told that to my neighbour who wants me now to meet his daughter who manages  a publishing company. I believe this is a good thing.

This should be on everyone's list.

However, quite a few people shouldn't have actually achieved it.

I can already tell that today is going to be a shitty monday. I got a whole 3 hours of sleep, and yet again there is nobody in lab. It's nice being able to just sit here and listen to the Mountain Goats, but chances are I'm going to fall asleep at my bench.

Hi blog thread

I had a great weekend!  Jon and I took Faye to the carnival where I spent too much money, but she LOVED it.  It was pretty awesome.  I went shopping and spent a lot more money on shoes, earrings, and a buncha crap for the kid.  -$300 later, ouch.  oh well.  Fortunately, I don't spend money on myself on a regular basis.  I don't remember the last time I splurged like that.  I keep thinking "that could have paid off my car insurance for the rest of the year" but oh well.  I do love the earrings.

Job interview is tomorrow.  I need to iron my suit and find a black bag to go with it so as to look ultra professional.  After the way my morning has been in my current position, I want this new job more than ever.  I need it.  I am going to go in there tomorrow and show them just how perfect I am for the position regardless of the fact that I've never done that specific kind of work before.  It's for an executive assistant position in a financial charting business unit.  It's a lot more money and benefits that I can actually take advantage of.  This would change my life.  Maybe then, I'd actually be able to pay off those pesky student loans...
