Blog Thread II: Beyond Blogosphere.

Barmymoo:
I know I just posted in here but reading the relationship thread has given me an idea and I am seriously thinking about going to Nepal to teach english next summer. If I go to Birmingham university they offer bursaries for that kind of thing, and I'd be able to work during term time anyway so I'd be able to save up. I love teaching, I've always wanted to do volunteer work and I would love to visit Nepal. It isn't cheap ($400 for a week, not including travel and immunisation costs) but it would be worth it and bursary support would help too.

I just wanted to share this idea; I tried to go into Meebo but our internet is slower than a drugged sloth (it's at 864k at the moment, whatever that means).

i found a second job, bloggy! i am working at an electronics store in the computer department as a "product expert", which i think is just another way of saying i work in retail and sell things but i'm still pretty excited to start because it's in toronto and not markham and i get a wonderful discount on everything in the store and i work with a lot of geeky guys (i know it sounds sorta bad, but i've always had a much easier time being friends with and working with dudes rather than ladies and my past jobs in the hospitality and service industries have never let me do that on account they've been pretty gender segregated) and i really like the fact that my job title has the word "expert" in it even if it's most likely for show cos it makes me sound much more competent and knowledgeable than i actually am.
i've also started a volunteer position at a homeless shelter in etobicoke as an admin assistant so things are probably going to get pretty crazy and hectic over the next few weeks but it's all good, i am terrifically excited to finally be busy and have lots of things to do. in a month or so if everything goes according to plan my life will be exhausting and i'll be tired and pissed off a lot but as long as i still get a paycheck now and then i don't think i'll complain too bad. i am glad to have less things to worry about now.

Hey Bloggy McBloggerton

My niece's biological father was found in a closet avoiding child support. He got locked up. The mental image of him curled up into a fetal position in the closet is hilarious.

I just found a Bible/Homestarruner crossover fanfic. I am really glad it's not slash, though.

I am probably gonna keep looking until I find what you suggested. For the good of the country! nay, the World!

Were R Kelly's services retained to get him out of the closet?
