Hi, Blog Thread IV: The Cromwell Initiative
I spent today playing guitar, and Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. It's the second time I've played it, and I forgot much of it. It's such an incredible game, it's major downside appears to be the fact that it's not OoT, and therefore has less nostalgia value. I guess it's less of a revolution, too.

I saw the second Narnia movie today. Prince Caspian. I thought it was really bad, something of an insult to the works of C.S. Lewis in my mind. And I'm not even a huge fan of his books. The pacing was all wrong, as it spent too much time on facial expressions and battles and such, with not enough time put into effectively setting up the circumstances involved. It was like "lol I'm runnin away nao I'm a prince lol" to "rofl look at mah army" in just a few minutes. Essentially, it didn't feel like a progression, a buildup.
It did a good job of showing Edmund's progression, however. He was genuinely beginning to become just and wise, while Peter and Caspian clashed egos all the time. All in all, I think the BBC adaptions were better. They didn't stray from the books so much, and doesn't need to cling to the norms of Hollywood moviemaking. Plus, those adaptions were simply charming and genuinely English, which lent them something genuine. Indeed, the current Narnia movies seem quite formulated.

It's just that most people who want to post in a blog thread are not
a) whiney shits
b) posting to crack jokes
