My Dearest Blog thread,
So my landlord came to fix my leaky bathtub yesterday finally. Which was weird because he said he was going to call first but I don't really care about that, I just wanted him to fix the damn thing.
It turned out to be nothing more than a busted gasket which I probably could have fixed myself if I had a pipe wrench or any free time.
Despite it being a relatively simple fix he manged to bust my faucet head.
He said he would go to the store and buy a part to replace it.
During this conversation I mentioned that I had bought a new adjustable shower head because the old shower head had broke. The old bathtub didn't have an actual installed shower head just a tube that went down to the faucet head. Because of this I had to buy a pretty pricey adjustable shower head to replace it because the tube had to be long enough (I thought what the heck I needed a damn shower and I can take this with me when I get a nice apartment and the ladies will be wildly impressed with my fancy bathroom fixtures). I thought I made it pretty clear that I bought this and he would have to replace it when I was gone so the next people who rent that rat hole can shower.
So I had to go run some errands.
When I came back this is what I saw.
Not only did he
not replace the faucet that he broke he friggen' permanently
epoxied my goddamn expensive shower head to the pipe and left it like that!
This is after:
1. He told me he was going to the store to get a replacement faucet part.
2. I told him 10 minutes ago that I bought that shower head and tube with my own money.
He made no gesture to reimburse the money I paid for the shower head and tube.
This is to the point where it's actually getting pretty funny to me. I mean this guy is like a legendary bad landlord. Just when I think there is no possible way he can get worse he pulls something like this and blows my mind.
...when I leave that shitty apartment I am
taking my goddamn adjustable shower head. I don't give a shit if the epoxy has ruined the threads of the cord and it can't be removed without breaking it. It's a matter of principal now.
