You intentionally try to have contradictory music taste, while failing to fall on the extreme of either side. This is done to try and be seen as "open-minded", because you fear other people's judgments subconsciously.

telling someone whether or not they listen to good music is not the same thing as associating them with a stereotype! we already have an entire music forum for judgments.
