Sweeping Generalizations About You Based on Your Music Taste

No-one has really made a witty generalisation based on taste, though. In fact, "witty generalisation" is a term that contradicts itself in this context. This entire thread is just riding on boring stereotypes (as per the thread title) and hence there's not really much to work with.
I maintain that getting annoyed at other people in this thread is counterproductive to its purpose. I don't think anyone is expressing their real views in this thread. In fact, I believe OP kindly requested that we leave our egos at the door.

There is no creativity in this thread, because we are just attaching the negative aspects of existing stereotypes to one another. It's essentially a glorified list thread.

However boring you think this thread may be, you must realize there is a difference between uh, saying "you are 18 forever" and silly things like that and then saying "why do you listen to music".
Do you not see the difference? The latter comment is flat out rude and distasteful. If you notice I don't think anyone else in this thread is being terribly rude. But lets not dwell on this anymore, okay? Its silly and depressing.

Allow me to point out my earlier posts. I took part in the thread in a light-hearted manner (and still was with my "why do you listen to music" comment).
Also allow me to point out that if Objects Inside Clouds is asking us not to dwell on it, bringing up that question is not conductive to his cause? I thought the concept of this thread was good, but in practice, no-one is really offering anything beyond the completely obvious.
