I don't know much about the poetry scene here but I can try to help.
Will:
Matt, that gig was awesome. The people at the cafe basically had no clue what was going on, there was no sound system at all, and we had no actual place to read. And for some reason that made it fucking AWESOME!
DC would be cool, and I know they have a decent slam venue there. Depending on if we end up doing a road gig in the beginning of August of the middle, we could maybe plan on doing a couple days in Chicago - catch a gig at the Green Mill maybe, and do a house show for you guys!

Should I buy a swimming costume? Is swimming likely? I don't like swimming much but I don't want to be left out of any shenangians!
