so i used to do this thing where i made mixes and passed them around via facebook to all my friends. i riffed the name from KEXP's "music that matters" podcast. anywho it went strong for about two years and then i just got distracted with other things. now i'm bored sometimes so it's back, and i thought i'd share the new installment with ya'll, though it's probably nothing you haven't heard before. just a collection of some of my 2010 faves, so far.

This is my mix for long drives on freezing autumn nights. The A side is for driving through a pine forest with millions of stars overhead. The B side is for driving through the same forest but after the zombie apocalypse, desperately hoping to avoid patrols of savage man eating hell fiends (with only minimal success). Warning: the B side errs on the side of unpleasant for the most part. Not responsible for any nightmares it may induce &c.
