Colour Haze are actually more stoner than krautrock, krautrock was some years earlier. But they're a kickass band nonetheless.

--- Quote from: negative creep ---(B) Sportfreunde Stiller: Personally I don't like them because they are quite shallow and sing too often about football. Also they were once mortal enemies of Tomte, or so I hear. The feud was resolved when both bands played a football match together. (Tomte like football, too, but they don't really write songs about it, with one notable exception, but that one was neither a single nor really important)

Dimmukane:
I meant in addition to krautrock.  Though they did make one album in that vein...

Dunnoe:
regarding tokio hotel's molding by record companies:

I hear Tokio Hotel was known as Devilish before changing their name to Tokio Hotel. Was Devilish writing songs under the influence of the record companies? What I'm trying to say is did Tokio Hotel write anything without the influence of record companies telling them to "write about this, write about this like this, etc." and did they have any kind of singing talent before the world saw Bill on Star Search?

basically, when did they start acting as the record company's bitch as apposed to doing stuff on their own? Was there every such a period where Tokio Hotel/Devilish did not cater to their sponsor's demands/stratagem?

negative creep:
I think they were ready for that from the moment they started playing music.

Apparently fans of Metallica, Slipknot, Coldplay, Linkin Park, etc... think Tokio Hotel is soulless wanky crap. A little bit of irony there eh? Who doesn't love some good irony. I know I love some good irony.

Personally, I don't hate stuff like Tokio Hotel, I don't like it, but at least it doesn't try and pretend to be anything more than it is.
