I do not like Radiohead

dont ever ask a hardcore radiohead fan for reasons, they'd never stop bothering you. you mentioned you think their songs are generic, can you tell us honestly how much you've listened to a radiohead album in full? which albums would they be? not liking radiohead is okay, but saying they sound like every other band out there is a bit perplexing, at least

I'm not sure about this promotion thing. Kid A was a huge succes but had no singles or videos or anything besides those blip thingies that floated around the internet for a bit (or maybe those were more popular than I think *shrug*) The fact that it leaked early was probably the biggest factor.
The fact that it was also a hugely polarizing album because of it's sound kinda defeats the whole "similar bands" being around. I think they're pretty... eccentric for a mainstream rock band.

The band is not as huge as some people think tho. Nothing they ever did ever got even close to... say... U2's worst albums (sales wise)



On another note. It seems to be popular not to like Radiohead lately. This is like the fourth forum I've seen a thread like this on this year? For some reason Muse fans have a problem with the band  :-D (i personally like both)

Its called hipster backlash, its when unimaginative and weak people change their opinions with the tide.  It kind of disgusts me as it makes the whole community look irrelevant and weak.
