Yeeeeah, bunnyThor, I'm definitely in agreement with Shaztastic on this one. Basically you're saying that women who don't follow the boys they're pursuing around constantly should "expect" these boys to pursue other women. Because ... men can't be trusted to make any decisions on their own, and as soon as they see tits, they're hard-wired to Tap That. And women need to play baby-sitter in order to hold down any type of monogamous relationship, even just a sexual one. Are you SURE that's a road you want to go down?
I know Sven's a "man-whore" and all, but as I already pointed out in my previous post, he DID manage to stay sexually monogamous with Faye for a surprisingly long time (a few months has gotta count for YEARS in Sven-time). Faye is entitled to go have some harmless fun with friends without checking up on him. Also, it's not like she was just drinking herself into oblivion in a fit of depression ... she was playing games with several of her friends. Also, given that Sven had managed to stay true to her thus far, why on earth should she have expected he'd stop?
It seemed pretty random to me, actually. Why Gina Riversmith, and more importantly, why now? Chances are Sven was in similar situations several times over the past few months and managed to resist ... I can't figure out why he got bored NOW as opposed to earlier or later. Maybe Gina was a little more persistent in her seductions than previous temptresses.

i think its more of a question as to whether she's surprised and angry or just angry.
if the former, then it is her fault.
sven said multiple times he was a tool, and in the conversation where she laid down her ultimatum, he never agreed to abide by it.
that said, she has every right to be angry, sven was a dick.

Will:
a. Faye go back and let Sven have it, either verbally or physically;
b. Sven go to Faye and apologize;
c. Faye go to one of her friends for support;
d. Sven go to his friends for support;
e. Faye get a stern talking to by the nice constable for creating a disturbance;
f. Faye attempt to deal with what she'll see as a betrayal by a male that she cares about, withdraw further into a shell of sarcasm, cynicism and hurt feelings and start a true downward spiral accellerated by seeing the positive relationships of Dora/Marten, and Penny/Wil and visions of Gary the Pterodactyl;
g. Any combination of the above;
h. None of the above; or
i. Jeph do whatever he wants (it is his story after all, we're just along for the ride).
Thanks for producing this (and the forum) Mr. Jacques.

J. Faye hooks up with the "nice constable"...and he gives her a *REAL* tongue-lashing!

Good call.
I think there was some misconstruing of meaning above, though -- As has been pointed out ad nauseum, Sven never agreed to be exclusive -- Faye set that rule. They didn't share social activities like most relationships -- they had sex with each other with as little emotion as they could manage. I won't lay blame either way, because i don't think there really is a "fault" here in what happened so much as fault for what did not happen -- a lack of communication about what was really going on. If Faye wanted a regular, monogamous relationship, she should have put in the time one does in a relationship -- not tagging along to guard dog her man, but in trying to be a part of his life. She said at least once that seeing Sven in a social situation wasn't something she was ready to do, and he did make the invitation.
It's almost as if she set up a silent contract with Sven that he would be her faithful sex toy and she could continue pretending she didn't care, only he didn't sign on to that. As for Sven, I think he's actually in his first situation where he cares about a woman he's slept with. That's got to be world rattling for his Lothario self image. He's hurt someone and he CARES about it. Up to now, when he's hurt someone, he only cared about how it would affect him. Big change there. I think they are both surprised how much they cared about what was happening, and the shock of that is as much of the pain as anything else.
Just my opinion.
SleeperCylon:
You know, I'm not saying Sven handled this situation correctly or sensitively, but what did Faye expect?
She sleeps with a man with an admitted reputation as a womanizer. She is very clear that she does not consider it to be a relationship. She tells him not to sleep with other women and he says straight to her 'That's not ok'. She continues to sleep with him. What exactly did she expect? If Sven agreed to be exclusive it'd be one thing, but he was very clear that was not the case.
Heck, Faye calls to ask him out on a date, he says 'No thanks, but wanna fuck?' And she comes over. She either really loves conflict, or is a walking geyser of cognitive dissonance.
