I really love Nickelback, even if I shouldn't, but I can't stand their new album. It's a whole new pinnacle of selling out for them.
I also listen to way too much Marilyn Manson. I don't know what anyone's opinion of him/them is here, but I'm slightly obsessed. :|

I never understood the "Sell-Out" arguement when it came to Nickelback. Granted most of the stuff we hear from the radio from them is Rock watered down to be Pop-ish Mainstream. That being said, anytime ive had a chance to listen to one of their albums the best songs are the ones that will never be released as a single. Side of a Bullet stands out in that category. I'm also not ashamed to say their songs "Never Again" and "Animals" are on my playlists.
When it comes to Manson, he's almost his own genre now to me. His musical styles have changed drastically over the years, but hes still undeniably MANSON. I'm glad to admit that if there is a Manson Genre, I'm a fan.

Don't get me wrong, I listen to a lot of Nickelback. But listening to their new album...ugh. I listened through it, and it sounded like, basically, "Song about sex, about drinking, about sex, radio song, radio song, sex song, drug song, sex song, sex song." Some of my favourites are the ones that'll never get airplay (Animals, Because of You, Deep), but listening to their albums you can tell as time goes on that they're writing more and more for the radio.
As for Manson...the difference in his styles really does shock me. The difference between Antichrist Superstar and Golden Age of Grotesque are noticeable. The band actually tried new things instead of rehashing the same old sound.
Also...whoever says Rush is a guilty pleasure - I will be visiting you shortly with a baseball bat. Same goes for ELO.

Tender, i just assumed that it was songs/bands you like but you would be ashamed to talk about in an average conversation. Hence me admitting to finding a few Insane Clown Posse songs funny.
kyleg:
I've been known to pop in a Ween album from time to time. As well as MSI.
Swordfish:
Heeeey, Ween is awesome. I've not known anyone to consider Ween a guilty pleasure.
Fatstrings:
push the little daisies and make 'em come up!
