Headphones
pat101:
I got a pair of sennheiser hd 280 pro's for christmast and I love them ever so dearly. Very fine headphones
A Shoggoth on the Roof:
I've got a pair of silver Sennheiser HD 457's at home, but I mostly use a pair of in-ear sony headphones, they're way more portable. Well, right now they're sony, I usually get whatever the cheapest pair is, because they always seem to break after anywhere from a few months to a half a year, maybe more. probably because I carry them around pretty much everywhere.
Beastmouth:
I've got a pair of Sony MDR-V700s I use for DJing and mixing, for listening to my ipod in public i really like the apple headphones, since i can still hear my buddies talking over rock 'n' roll
atimholt:
I've got the Sony MDR V6. The ear cups (or whatever that part is called) are metal on the back. It's nice. More money than I ever thought I was going to spend on headphones, but hey, I wanted sound awesomeness.
So, does anyone happen to know if those "stereo to mono" 3.5mm jack adapters mixes the signal down, or if it just throws out one side? I'm deaf in one ear, so listening to the Beatles (one example) doesn't work at all with headphones. I bought a "mono to stereo", hoping it would work, but the plug didn't quite fit into the socket on my Zune, and it turned out to just throw out the right ear (as a 'mono to stereo,' it split the signal).

i've got some shure se210s for my ipod, which are the best in ear headphones i've ever heard. i was using cx300s before i got them, but the shures blow them out the water.
at home if i'm using headphones i've got some grado SR325is, which are incredible.
