I've won a couple of high school javelin medals, and our team won the tug of war once. Probably the best medals I've one are my Stone Skimming ones.

a raffle for a charity that conserves pheasant habitat so then you can shoot them?
(i am not trying to get into any debate here, just found it amusing/odd)

I've never really found the whole idea odd. Finding a use or placing a value on an animal is pretty much the quickest way to convince people not to completely wipe them out. My stepfather used to hunt pheasants, but that side of my family has also collectively donated around $400,000 worth of quality wetlands to be preserved over the last decade. More harm has been done to pheasants through the creation of farmland, highways and settlements than than pretty much all the hunters on the planet combined. It's just the way it goes.

I remembered another one. When I was in grade two my class and the other grade two class got to hang out and carve pumpkins together for Halloween. At my school the classrooms had walls between them that could slide and turn two classrooms into one for activities like this. They were orange. My name was the first one drawn and I got to have my pick of which pumpkin I wanted to take home. I picked a really big elaborate one that had arms attached to it and stuff because the second girl I ever had a crush on (her name was Jennifer) was in the group that made it.
I pretty much immediately regretted my choice because it was too heavy for my little arms to carry home so I ended up rolling it and it got kind of ruined.

I never win anything. Honestly, the coolest thing I can remember winning was a black gumball from the gumball machine at Movie Gallery, which gets you a free gallery rental.

I won two VIP tickets to Lollapalooza 2006, complete with a stay at a hotel. It was pretty awesome, except it was like 105oF the entire weekend and I got ridiculously drunk Saturday night and had to leave the show early on Sunday 'cause I had a terrible hangover. But I did get to see Arcade Fire up close. I have pictures on imageshack but for some dumb reason it's not letting me log on right now.
