What's kind of cool is they're basically telling George Lopez he's not a real late night host, adding someone else, and moving him back.  At least that's how I like to see it.

George Lopez allegedly lobbied pretty hard on Conan's behalf. He wagers (probably correctly) that having Conan as a lead-in will boost his numbers.
