I want to write it, really!

snalin:
write a short about the unicorn who stabbed and bit small children to death.

The Waitress.

--- End quote ---

I genuinely thought this was cute.  I loved the O. Henry ending, the little bits of foreshadowing...

I mean, there are definitely points where the writing is a little bit clunky (the driving around and phone call sections in particular), and line editing might help ("how often to you expect," "the phone when dead," etc.), but overall it was an engaging and entertaining working of what seemed at first a pretty lame suggestion.

Speaking of lame suggestions, I think you should write a story about a bunch of anthropomorphic vegetables in a vegetable garden that get into a war with the weeds.

Slick:
Write a story of my breaking heart, and the sound it made as it came apart. Tell the tale of my sundered hope and the colour spilled when I could not cope. Explain to all of my rotten smile and each secret thoughts most vile. Give me words on what I've done and why I stare now into the sun. Write a verse of things I regret and all the fear that fills me yet.

Dazed:
Please, finally, someone tell the tale of Kurt Russel and his crimefighting jazz-funk quintet. (He's the bassist)

est:
Tell the touching story of a young D&D nerd who goes back in time to save a Princess from an Evil Count but is stabbed viciously by a faceless bandit and dies.

Later his friend goes back in time to save him, but is also stabbed to death.  This time by a dirty little street urchin.
