We could just make something up -- that guy that Marten used to play in a band with?  That guy that Marten killed in Mexico?  That guy that Marten scared with Vogon love poems in highschool?

Just add a verb.  Verbs are so nice.  Almost as nice as nouns, only more...active.

What about that guy that Marten bought Pintsize from? Was he cut in half by lasers?

Pintsize didn't have a laser when Marten got him - that came in a chassis upgrade from Best Buy.
