False. Faith No More are ridiculous and entertaining, and people remember them.

Chad K.:
Any band that does a good cover of The Commodores' "Easy" is aces in my book.  I saw Patton with Mr. Bungle, and never got to see Faith No More when they were out.  Based on the Mr. B show, I would definitely go.  The lack of Jim Martin is a little disappointing, though.

Incidentally, I don't get anybody who doesn't dig this band.  Think of a song like "Epic".  1990 release date, and WAY ahead of its time.  I had that tape in a stack with my Poison, Motley Crue and White Lion tapes, to put it in perspective.   And the followup "Angel Dust" album is sooo out there for the time. These guys, along with Nirvana, paved the way for alternative acts to get real notice and be seen as marketable.

Plus, no Faith No More = no uber famous Mike Patton, and therefore none of his slew of side projects, and no Ipecac records which hosts a ton of great bands.

All in all, great band, with an important influence on music.
