Hangovers!
Lunchbox:
Because people seem so eager to clog up the photo thread with their remedies!
I went out with ViolentDove and his friends last weekend and ended up getting completely trashed without realising. It wasn't till I had to run to the bathroom that I realised how very silly I'd been.
I spent all night and most of the next day alternately running to the bathroom and laying on the couch with a bucket beside me. Mint tea did not work at all (I thought it would be a great idea). It was not until I was walking home and gave into my terrible craving for a chocolate paddlepop (popsicle? icecream? thingum?) that I started to feel better.
What about you guys?
Lines:
I usually just drink a lot of water before I go to bed, but I've heard that vitamin C also works? I would recommend taking pills, though, and not chugging orange juice, which might make you throw up more. Sleep also helps.
tania:
gatorade helps me out a lot. just like you get dehydrated when you exercise, you also get dehydrated when you drink and subsequently pee/vomit a lot... though hopefully not the two simultaneously.
greasy foods work for me too but on the rare occasion i do end up with a hangover, they are usually so severe that they render me completely incapable of cooking or leaving the house or doing anything useful really so i try to keep easy shitty food like frozen pizza or hamburgers in the freezer for just such occasions.
ViolentDove:
There's not really much you can do for the violently throwing-up species of hangover except wait it out and get some water down, I find.
Also holy shit I just read the wikipedia article on hangovers and now I want to quit drinking for a bit.
Melodic:
Didn't Gatorade recently restructure their lineup to cash in on the fact that it's good on hangovers?
