Aye, the Modern Lovers album is brilliant.
If this is going ahead as an album contest then I nominate of the top of my head:

Crazy Love (Honey is Cool)

I am sure I will not be alone in this but Okkervil River should be put on the best band nomination list, maybe not best band ever, but one of the best currently active bands.

Also:

"Ctrl-f - S-l-o-a-n". Why is there only one mention of Sloan and that was Tommy's comment. Plus I third Bedhead's nomination and I shall be the "umpteenth" supporter for Silkworm.
