Music you can't listen to anymore

leftover crack/choking victim/anything with that stza bloke involved.

it sucks to really a guy's music, but think he's a cunt, and disagree with just about every dramatically over-exaggerated opinion he tries to get across.

JD:
Weird Al and Fleetwood Mac. I'll elaborate on the latter when I have more time.

It will be a sad, sad day when this day comes.

--- Quote from: Fishboy on 20 Mar 2009, 18:42 ---I find it hard to listen to the dark side of the moon for almost the same reason, there have been a few times when listening to it was just fantastic, and now listening to it in anything other than ideal circumstances, otherwise it feels as though I am sullying that memory.

I hear you. I used to be Pink Floyd obsessed for years, and now I rarely listen to them. The last time I listened to Dark Side of the Moon was while driving down the highway at midnight, no other cars around. It was perfect.

I wish I could forget a lot of music so that I could rediscover it.

I used to listen to a lot of Nickelback as a younger, angsty teenager. Now, I listen to some of it and I really enjoy it - a lot of it I listen to and realize how bad it is.

For a long time I had a problem listening to the Allman Brother's "Melissa" after breaking up with my girlfriend of the same name. I was upset over her for well over a year, but have since regained the ability to listen to the song.

Also: American Pie. I used to be able to listen to this song until I heard it for the 6,009,120 time and something inside of me snapped.

I thought this already happened to Manowar?

The four bands I've been obsessed with and can no longer listen to are:
Iron Maiden - I learned how to play guitar by sitting down for three months and learning all the songs off the first four albums. I'm pretty over it, but it's weird when I look back just how much I loved them.
The Smashing Pumpkins - I was thirteen/fourteen, and damn, did it ever ring true. But now I know better.
Muse - Epic, sweeping, ambitious...Boring after continued listening.
Radiohead - No growth or excuses here, I simply played them way too much. The only albums I can still listen to are Amnesiac and Hail to the Thief.
