Hip-Hop, Preferably Old School

I see that Eric B. & Rakim has already been mentioned, but Lyrics of Fury absolutely needs to be on there as well. It's pretty much old school rap taken to its logical extreme, to the point it where would be self-parody if Rakim wasn't so good at what he does. From the second it kicks in you know you're listening to '80s rap, but in no way should that be taken as an insult.

Please don't use that word that way. It might be a convenient mean name to call people, but your particular use of it is distasteful.

Thanks a ton everyone, I'm gonna start going thru this stuff tomorrow afternoon as soon as my midterm is over.
And for anyone else, specific songs are what I'm looking for, but I'm still gonna look into all the above artists/albums.

This thread has put me in a hip hop mood (for the first time in a long time) too. I didn't do anything but listen to MF DOOM and KMD all afternoon.
