I'm just saying that honest conversation with people can be helpful sometimes.

Yup, personal growth -- hurts for a bit, but in the end, so worth it.
And Angus doesn't need inside information to suss out Faye in this situation. It's just Not That Hard to guess from the base information. Faye is also being confronted with her own lack of special snowflakeness -- that is, other people have been in her situation and she's not the only one in the world. Smart people find this rather comforting. Narcissists get pissy.
And baby cats are TOTALLY cute.
