Well considering that seems that shitty treatment is kinda what Angus was looking for, I think that the past they had is a bonus for him, not a negative. Angus is something similar to me, being an asshole to me doesn't make me angry, I enjoy it, though unlike him, expect me to be an ass right back. When a typical night out with friends is going to a restaurant, playing video games, and talking shit about each other the whole time, the kind of talk Faye throws out is an invitation to be friends.
As for hooking up, well, I look at it this way. Faye needs someone with more integrity than Sven, but is also someone she has an interest in, hence, Angus. Angus wants someone he enjoys being with and can put up with his strangeness (need I remind you of the t-shirt and pants that were a slight against God?), hence, Faye. They may not be perfect, but they're what the other needs.

She threw him across a bar for talking to her. Granted he was pushy, but not that pushy unless there was something else going on off-camera. I just keep waiting for someone to tell her they're really tired of her bullshit and they're not gonna deal with it anymore.
