There is no rock 'n' roll left in New York. Everyone's playing fucking post-this or math-that. The last legitimate punk rock show I went to was in a public park in Williamsburg, with Tommy, Phil, Tyler, and Huda.
No I lied, I have seen SHAPES a bunch lately, but I've been coming to their shows as a photographer which prevents me from moshing too much. I did get super into it and was photographing from inside the sweaty, insane crowd (and standing on monitors, dangling off shit to get shots) last time. I posted the results in the Photo Thread (and cross-posted in the photography thread) last week.
