I finally pinpointed what's wrong with Guy Fieri

Speaking of painfully smug, why are people watching Castle? I know there's some good will built from Firefly here, but holy shit, is that show terribad. It's like they took the Mentalist and decided to add worse villains, plus scenes with an annoyingly wholesome daughter and her wacky grandma. Holy shit, is it bad. I mean, honestly, I bet the pitches used to sell the show were identical: straight laced (but hot) female cop babysits an unorthodox but brilliant (and hot) male. Sexism and hijinks ensue as people everywhere furiously ship the characters.

Nathan Fillion is fun to look at. And the interaction between the main characters is amusing...Whenever they try to do actual character development it's just bad, though.

As for the Food Network, Giada might not be the greatest cook, but her recipes are solid. I've tried out two of them and they were both great.

Rachael Ray may be one of the most annoying people to watch on the planet, but she does occasionally have some good ideas and at least you know watching her show that the recipes will be quick.

And I'm glad everyone else hates Paula Dean. It makes me feel warm inside.

I like Ramsay as much as the next guy. I just can't get into the format of that show.

Kitchen Nightmares is brilliant because regardless of how obnoxious he may be and usually is, the man is widely considered to be among the best chefs in the world, runs a whole bunch of absolutely top shelf restaurants and actually makes a living by telling dicks like the other people on the show why their restaurant sucks and giving them advice on how to make it better. And then the dick owner or owners are all like "you don't tell me what to do, you person we asked to come to our shitty little restaurant and tell us how to be better".

I like to think that Ramsey is the "Dr. House" of cooking shows.

And as much as I hate to admit it, there is other stuff to watch on TV. I like to switch to USA occasionally and watch CSI and the other shows. I like Psyche too.
