Trying to sell an iPod.

Not to anyone on the internet, just curious about pricing and wanted some references, it's about two years old, 30GB. I didn't think I could get anything for it but my girlfriend insists that at her school she could get like 30$. What's your take?

Look guy. There are sites out there on this excellent intarwub that will buy your ipod from you. They'll appraise the thing for you online with the details you give them.

I found a guy on Craigslist who said that he wanted to buy an iPod, he didn't specify which kind. I had a 5th gen 30gb (video). I told him $50, he said okay. I sold it to him the same evening.

Unless it's beat to hell, your girlfriend's trying to scam you.  Those still go for anywhere from 50-80 bucks on ebay depending on generation and condition.
