My first reaction was "Angus is creeepy!" but really Faye's just being mean spirited.

Of course she's damnned if she does and damnned if she doesn't - If Angus bails out I'd half expect a panel with her standing looking wistful at some couple enjoying themselves, and if Angus goes along she'd spend her time trying to put him off.

I don't know if I feel more sorry for Faye and her neuroses or Angus and his lack of backbone.
