fifthfiend:
...Oh hey, Hanners was actually likeable in this one.

I don't know how to feel about that.

SuperSUGA:
Angus seems to have turned into a pretty cool guy. I'm calling him not being interested in Faye as more than a friend.

Edit: I was having a weak memory and I forgot the whole glasses thing. Guess he still has a little desperation left in him, but a guy can only improve so much!

maddness:

--- Quote from: Milesb on 23 Apr 2009, 04:20 ---I don't know if I feel more sorry for Faye and her neuroses or Angus and his lack of backbone.

--- End quote ---

Angus doesn't lack back bone. He made his move a while back and was rebuffed. He hasn't asked her out since, but he's hung around because he likes her and maybe part of him hopes she'll come around. He was dating someone else for a while, so it's not like he's some desperate creepy loser who spends his days obsessing about Faye. His ex didn't like CoD, so he didn't come around. Now he's single so he's hanging out again, but I don't know if he just wants his life to get back to pre-bitch gf or if he's still dangling after Faye. I think that if he is still digging Faye, which seems to be the case, he's going to take it easy and see where things go as opposed to actively going after her. He just got out of a relationship. He may not be in a hurry to jump in to another one.

Also, I think that post-Sven, Faye isn't as freaked out over finding Angus attractive, so she's been treating him more like a human being. I think that she's finding that, when she's not too busy being bitchy to notice, she kind of likes him.

Rocketman:

He amde his move several time, ignoring all her requests, then demands to be left alone. Then he continued to hang around because wimmenz are too dumb to make their own choices, so she obviously just needed to be badgered some more.

raoullefere:
I'll go with maddness (as I often do, only without the second d), with a caveat: I suspect that one of the things wrong with Angus's last lady was that she wasn't Faye. I"ll agree that Faye was being her oft-miserable self when acted as if a fifty-person block party was, I don't know, in her bedroom or something (wouldn't that be interesting?), but I'll give her a break because I think she senses Angus isn't 'over' her, and it makes her nervous. It's one thing to have a relationship with manwhore Sven: having someone actually *want* you is something entirely different. Faye sabotaged the last one; it would hardly be surprising if she tried to do the same this time, too.

I still say Angus is desperate. He thinks he's found 'the one,' and she's free at the moment—but how long will that last? Any time now, her former relationship might be back on track, and Angus's chance blown. I respect him for trying his hardest to be cool about it (as opposed to the last go round that some love to frame as 'Stalker in Action'), but underneath, as the glasses offer reveals, he's got it bad for the girl.

Which means he's doomed. The gods and those like them feel compelled to dump on folks like Angus: it's a compulsion. His ruin, I fear, is coming.
