And to be fair (to the forum) that was kind of the point I was making with my nominations.
As far as Kind of Blue goes, basically my problem with it comes down to inertia. The album's just too static for me. For me jazz has always been such a kinetic music, and then along comes Kind of Blue and it kind of just sits there and looks pretty. There's no real swing in the rhythm section (of course, the album does swing in the technical sense, but not in a very dynamic way, especially if you compare it to the albums Davis was recording with his quintet just a few years earlier), and the solos never feel to me like they're going anywhere. Basically it seems to me too much music for the head, not enough music for the heart.
To put it in a crueler way, I find the album rather boring.

The lack of swing seemed to be kind of the point, though. It's certainly a darker album and seems at times to be a bit sinister (or as sinister as jazz can be), and too much swing would probably ruin that sort of feel. It wasn't the best album, but I think it certainly had a sort of emotion to it that really came into conflict with what I expected from a jazz album.
negative creep:
Bob Dylan
Low

That doesn't mean I have to like it!
