Honestly, my involvement with the QCADS is somewhat facetious. Obviously as Daz noted there are multitudes of bands that huff larger shits than Deerhoof. I'm sure they're rad dudes, Greg Saunier had a huge involvement in one of my favorite records of the year thus far. There are parts of Deerhoof songs that I feel are legitimately rockin'. The vocals... I don't think I'll ever get past the vocals. And even if say Deerhoof were to dump that element of their sound, it wouldn't be the same because the vocals are an active part of their sound! It'd be like if Silkworm got rid of Andy's guitar solos, the strained vocals or awful cover art. Frankly it's my loss that I can't get past Satomi's voice, and your gain because you guys enjoy it.

So I respect the fact that they make music with a unique aesthetic and they seem like really awesome dudes. I just can't stand the vocals.
