I Like Hardcore Music. Do You Like Hardcore Music? - SAM, YOU MUST POST!
JimmyJazz:
No, upload s'more please! I already had Blood, Sweat and tears and the CIV disocography, but I downloaded River Runs Red and it is fucking excellent. Everyone check it out! "Underground" is one of the best songs I've heard in recent memory
a pack of wolves:
Funnily enough I'm just downloading the CIV discography and that Breakdown demo now. More would be grand, it might not be appreciated by that many but that actually seems sort of fitting for hardcore records.
A Wet Helmet:
So it occurred to me that maybe some of this stuff is such a staple of hardcore that everyone might already have it, but I wasn't sure. So cool... more stuff.
1988's Hardcore classic Step On It by Boston's own Slapshot. I only saw these guys once in about 92 but it was a fucking unbelievable show. About 200 of D.C.s most dedicated hardcore fans crammed into an upstairs club made for about 50. Even smaller than the Safari and the original 930. Very intimate venue, Choke was more part of the pit than singing on stage.
I have just about everything Slapshot released... at least, their good stuff. They got kinda iffy in the late 90s. I could do, say... Sudden Death Overtime next if anyone wants it. Or maybe Live at SO36 if I can find the CD in my house (the joys of having a teenager who likes my music... she steals it) to rip. Anyway:

Please do keep uploading the old stuff, man! Some of us young'ins can do with the history lesson!
No upload because I don't have any of their stuff, but I saw Ceremony on tour with Converge a few months ago, and it was seriously the most chaotic, violent, and destructive thing I have ever witnessed. Epic hardcore.
A Wet Helmet:
Fine. I'll try to throw some new (old) stuff up every day or so if it's getting a little love. This stuff was the soundtrack to my youth, and now that I'm old and boring, I'm glad to be able to share it with a few people who appreciate it.
