KharBevNor:
I'm not on my main computer, so I don't have anything like my entire music collection, I just think it's weird that no one's mentioned a single d-beat band in this whole thread.

michaelicious:
I uploaded a couple more records to the mediafire folder I made for this thread:

The new additions are Life At The Speeds' self-titled record and Bright Calm Blue's Assymetry Set. Life At These Speeds play some pretty straight-forward, driving tunes but towards the end of the record they dial it back with a couple more sprawling numbers. Their guitar riffs get stuck in my head a lot.

Asymmetry Set is an album I think everybody should hear. They just have everything going on. Syncopated guitars and a tight-ass rhythm section that at times calls to mind early Q and Not U, really excellent spoken-shouted-screamed vocals paired with some pretty great lyrics, and keyboards! Sadly, after they released this album they kicked out the singer and went on to record a second album that was pretty much bullshit.

Will:
Khar, I take it you don't consider Disfear d-beat?

evilbobthebob:
:-o Yeah, there was me thinking Disfear were basically the d-beat band after the guys who invented the genre.

Oh, and how do you people feel about Coliseum?

KharBevNor:
I didn't notice Disfear. Genuine mistake. This thread still needs more Discharge.
