I can't remember if I made the post in this thread or somewhere else but remember when I said that time that "hardcore" -like punk- is such a nebulous concept tied more to attitude than musical signifiers that it can be applied to pretty much any band?

I'd consider most metalcore (the Killswitch Engage-inspired stuff, not the stuff that's an actual amalgamation of metal and hardcore) to be a baby of In Flames more than anything else
