You see - the vast majority of people are for it, and in a true democrazy, that's what counts. Protect our western values, go for it!

You really shouldn't allow yourselves to be carried along on a wave of public opinion. You should gather the evidence and think about it independently, carefully and logically, so that whatever happens in the end you know that you have at least maintained your integrity. That being said, I am inclined to be for it - action is better than inaction, and change is preferable to stagnation.

This has always been somewhat of a controversial issue. It's very hard for me to pick sides because looking at the past, which I often do, gives us evidence that both for and against could lead to disaster. Although, when you get down to the core meaning of the issue, I have to say that my person is for it, no matter what the consequences may be.
