So earlier today I caught myself singing the refrain from "In a Manner of Speaking," when I realized I couldn't remember what song it belonged to.  Doing some cursory googling reminded me that I had heard it on the Nouvelle Vague s/t, which is of course all covers.  I further remembered that this was one of the few songs I actually didn't recognize, though most are popular 80s songs, and so I did a bit more looking. This led me to the Martin Gore solo version, but a check on the wikipedia page of the EP it came from, Counterfeits, revealed that this too, was a cover.  The original was by Tuxedomoon, a band I remembered hearing a bit about in Rip It Up and Start Again (cor, whass that?), though I had never heard them.  Anyway, having tracked down the original, I decided I was intrigued, and thus, to turn to you, dearest QC music talking community.

tl;dr I would like to listen to some stuff by Tuxedomoon but have no idear where to start. Anybody wanna help a brotha out?

The album Half Mute is generally considered a classic, and is really really good!

In a manner of speaking is on the album Holy Wars, which I otherwise don't know.
Their best known song pre-Nouvelle Vague was probably No Tears, which is on several best-of compilations.

Anyway, I found an album of theirs called Divine, which I liked on first listen. I need to look harder to find Half Mute, but I listened to "No Tears," and that was pretty cool. Thanks JayJayD!

I didn't want to say anything, but I'm glad I wasn't the only one thinking that.
