Yeah I was about to bitch that having another music game is just going to dilute everyones experience if the labels try to go for exclusivity the the brands. I mean, I dont want to *have* to play Rock Band to play a Jimmy Eat World song, I dont want to *have* to play Guitar Hero if I want to play Zeppelin ect and thats exactly how I see this panning out.
But if the songs are importable thats cool!

Rock Band has pushed cross-compatibility (music wise) as one of it's major selling points. The DLC and (most) songs from RB1 were portable to RB2, and the same with Lego Rock Band.
This doesn't apply to The Beatles Rock Band, unfortunately, but given there are enitrely new gameplay mechanics this isn't really surprising.
Guitar Hero seems to be sticking to a much more common franchise approach, which generally just leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Yeah, Harmonix is big on not screwing people over.
I'm disappointed with the Beatles thing, but it can't be helped. I really hope it's exportable to Rock Band 3 next year.
