I think the general NYness of the Wu-Tang has been mentioned but not that specifically. And I was thinking of the Beastie Boys as not hip-hop, but purely because for some reason I thought that was one of their hardcore tracks.

It is easily his greatest moment. I never got that into any of his records apart from Illmatic, but god I love that one.
