--- Quote from: Is it cold in here? on 29 May 2009, 02:30 ---Marigold would probably go ballistic at having her stuff moved. Remember, she immediately and emphatically ordered her guests not to touch anything. And subjecting an OCD sufferer to that apartment would be cruel.

--- End quote ---

Well, ironically the mess could have been caused by OCD. She either focuses completely on games and Japanese culture and completely ignores everything else, or is a compulsive hoarder. (Hoarding is usually tied with OCD.) I think the latter is a possibility, since she didn't want anyone touching anything (hoarders freak out if someone moves their stuff or makes them get rid of it, just like a germophobe would if you washed their bathroom with a raw chicken).

Either way, Hannelore had better bring her HazMat suit.

I was thinking the same thing, particularly since that person is basically a stranger. I do hope Dora plans to mention it to Marigold before Hanners shows up there with a truckload of cleaning material, although I can picture that as being one awkward conversation:

"So, person I just met, I think your house is too dirty so I called my clean freak friend to clean it for you. I hope you don't mind?"

I know I'd be pissed off. I know Dora means well, but it's none of her business.

Tuitsuro:
Well, on the one hand she might be pissed and demand they leave, no problem.  On the other hand, she's living with rats.

Ghanima Atreides:
And she will keep doing so as soon as she's done dirtying up the place...one Hanners-cleaning won't solve the problem unless Marigold actually changes her habits (or hires Hanners as a maid or something). I do agree with Dora that it's unhealthy and disgusting, though she might have been better off approaching Marigold with the idea first...it's her house after all. I am curious how it'll turn out

MrMonk:
The immovable object and the force that will not be denied.
