I'm horny
Radical AC:
I played my trumpet today for the first time in over a year. I was able to play the highs and lows with great sound. My chops weren't great and I couldn't play great for very long, but that is okay for what I'm planning on doing with it now (interspersed playing in some of my music along the lines of what you hear with Okkervil River or Neutral Milk Hotel) I think I might want to get a new trumpet soon. I'm planning on making a few big musical purchases soon, and upgrading my Blessing trumpet would be nice too. Anyone have any suggestions for a replacement? I don't think I'm going to blow 10 grand on a Monette, but I hear Taylor (not the guitar company) makes some nice ones, though they are pricey too. I've also been thinking about taking up the true/french horn, or maybe getting a flugelhorn. The horn is a different beast altogether, I know, but I think it has the most beautiful tone out of the brass family. And, I've seen a lot flugelhorns in contemporary indie music as of late.
Any other horn players out there? I've been listening to Brasstronaut's EP and it is pretty inspiring for things I can do. I also have a really old Trombone that was my grandfathers I've been wanting to get better at. I'm beginning to lament that I've never been in a ska band.
Will:
I played the trombone from the time I was in 4th grade on...haven't picked it up in a while, but I still do every now and again. I was also in a ska-ish band (click for linkage!), it was much fun. I know very little about makers of trumpets, but in the trombone world, I always lusted after a nice Bach F-attachment horn, damn things are aspensive though.
Zingoleb:
My first thought was Nirvana, seeing the title, to be honest.

My first thoughts were of http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QZbTpANdI54, I regret nothing.
RobbieOC:
I used to play on a really neat looking raw brass Bach Strad. I loved that horn to death. It got stoled...
How old are you? What kind of mouthpiece are you playing on?
