The snapping turtle thing reminds me that when we went up to my dad's cousin's house a few weeks ago, we decided to go canoeing. Well we took a back road to get to the place and in the middle of it was an enormous snapping turtle. We didn't want to crush it, and since I'm a big fan of herpetology and own a couple snakes and watch animal planet a lot, the consensus was that I was the one least likely to get a finger bit off. Those guys are quick, I gotta say, but I only managed to get scraped a little by its back legs due to an awkward angle at picking it up. We went along our merry way.
Just a little anecdote with no real interesting parts to it, I kinda want to get a turtle next.
