Queen's kill animations were kinda lame (WAGGLE YOUR HIPS AND SMITE YOUR ENEMIES WITH A SEXY BEAM)

But the entire game was fuckin' ownage.

The tower in the first one moved incredibly, frustratingly slow. step, wait, *boom*, wait, step, wait, *boom*, wait. But the concept was fun, though.

I remember the ancient, original Battle Chess with the Queen wiggling her hips and zapping things, but that was like 1980's-quality graphics and was state of the art at the time.  Didn't they update the graphics and release BattleChess 2000 or something?  They could do some seriously sweet stuff with the graphics nowadays.

Yeah I was hoping GOG would stock Battle Chess 2000, but no dice. Just the original, 4000 and Chinese Chess (which I am completely mystified by)

Yeah, chinese chess was some seriously freaky shit. A cannon that works like a tower and a horse? Crossed movement? Units that morph into dragons when attacking? What the hell?

Cool looking though.
