what's the opposit of a cliffhanger? a definitive resolution to a plot thread?

Okay, I guess that's more of an opposite than what I meant, but I mean there's nothing in the comic that says "Wow, I wonder how X is going to get out of that situation, can't wait for Monday when X gets out of that situation." Where will Monday's strip even take place? The library? Maybe that's all Jeph wanted to do in that scene. We don't know! Maybe it is a cliffhanger!

Monday's strip is likely to continue from Friday's in some way, because Jeph said in Twitter that they had to be in that order.
