Quick, think of a famous landmark in your head.  Ok, are you thinking about it?  IT'S BLOWING UP!  HAHAHAHAHA, CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS SHIT?  IT IS BLOWING RIGHT THE FUCK UP!

Ok ok ok, now think of another one.  Like, in another country.  You got it?  IT IS BEING HIT BY AN ASTEROID!  LIKE, FROM SPACE!  OH, MAN HOW COOL IS THIS SHIT, RIGHT?

So yeah, this is less a movie than a pastiche of shit the guy has thought would look cool, strung together in what is probably gonna be a very flimsy fashion.  The White House being crushed by an aircraft carrier being propelled by a tidal wave?  Come on.

Just for once I would like to see a disaster movie that doesn't have to rely on blowing up famous things that people have sentimental/patriotic attachment to in order to make an impression on the audience.
