You're right. Except for the part where he did turn into this bizarre parody of his former self and was genuinely unable to perform concerts near the end of his career due to a weak voice and poor physical condition. Well, I guess being dangerously underweight isn't quite the same as being obese, so there's that difference.

Maybe the one big difference is that, to at least my knowledge, nobody ever called Elvis a pedophile. That was probably the straw that broke MJ's brain.

But conversely, I don't think anyone is claiming that MJ was abducted by aliens.
